THE BODY AND STORY
Mon 14th - Wed 16th September 2026
10am-4:30pm daily
Queens Park Govanhill Parish Church
Speech is physical. Words come from the body and affect the body. The body contains and tells stories.
To unlock the connections between body and story, we’ll play with movement, improvisation and embodied voice — let our bodies speak and our words dance.
Led by joint artistic directors Ewan Downie and Anna Porubcansky, this workshop is based in Company of Wolves’ rigorous and playful body-centred training built on years of investigation into non-hierarchical and collaborative creation.
This workshop is open to actors, performers, dancers, movers, poets, singers, artists, writers, directors and anyone interested in embodied creativity.
Company of Wolves is a highly acclaimed laboratory theatre company based in Glasgow. We make performances that use elements of theatre, dance, music, and improvisation to inspire, challenge and question. Since 2012, we’ve led over 60 workshops to more than 1,000 participants, both in Scotland and abroad. For more information about us, visit our website at companyofwolves.org or contact us on info@companyofwolves.org
