Winter Training 2025

Session 1: Wed 8 - Fri 10 January; Session 2: Mon 13 - Wed 15 January
Queens Park Govanhill Parish Church, 170 Queens Park Drive, Glasgow G42 8QZ

Winter Training is a three day workshop dedicated to waking up our bodies, voices and imaginations to free creativity, develop confidence and resilience, and build connections with other people.

Led by Company of Wolves’ joint artistic directors, Anna Porubcansky and Ewan Downie, this workshop is based on Company of Wolves’ unique body-centred training: expect running, dancing, singing, sweating, and joy!

Winter Training is open to anyone interested in the company’s work. In the past this has included theatre makers, community workers, actors, teachers, writers, administrators, dancers, musicians and therapists.

This workshop involves medium to high physical engagement, solo, partner and group work, and includes a wide range of activities, from meditative practices to running.

Previous workshop participants say:

A totally world-expanding experience. Wonderful, rigorous, and gloriously focused on the human.”

“Invigorating. Joyful. Experimental. An inquisitive and non-judgemental workshop providing a perfect start to the new year.”

“It is a gift to work with leaders who truly understand and facilitate their craft, and work with such openness and beauty.”

Company of Wolves is a highly acclaimed laboratory theatre company based in Glasgow.
