Unbecoming is a performance about loss and rage, told by a woman and a mother.


Rage, at all we become when we don’t have a choice. Loss, of all we haven’t become. And how we unbecome.

Description

Using traditional song, soundscape, myth and movement, Unbecoming is a dreamworld, a rich and sublime space where image, memory, desire and fear all rewoman unravel, layer upon layer stripped away; a human, unmasked.

How much of what we are is what we’ve chosen to be?

After an initial small tour in 2018, our redeveloped version of Unbecoming now tours extensively across Scotland over Autumn 2022 and Spring 2023, supported by Creative Scotland’s Touring Fund.

Our performance at Platform on 8th Oct is part of a double bill with Jordan and Skinner’s The Time Machine, which performs at 3pm the same day. You can buy tickets for both shows for £10 total, through the Platform website: the double bill £10 option will appear in the ticket types when you go to book for either show.
